About

243 edit   When I sit down to paint or draw, I prefer to be in a state of open-eyed meditation. This way, I don’t have to “do” anything; the images just “happen.” There is no external object to be reproduced. There is no internal object either. Everything comes from within in that moment.

A number of themes recur in my work, which I would describe as follows. The world in which we live is not only concrete but subtle in nature. As subtle beings, our substance is energy, which exists in continual motion. As spiritual beings, we inhabit an ecstatic world that transcends pleasure and pain, while yet encompassing both those polarities.

  1. Hi Jude!

This is Antonio, your water color classmate. Finally I found your website. I loved your paintings. They are completely different from the ones we do in class but have the abstraction that I like. Great job!

  3. I absolutely love your work! It’s so original and beautiful. It reminds me of spiritual Native American art because it seems so close to so much of nature and emotions.
